Privacy Notice

Effective and last updated: September 5, 2026

This notice explains how the operator of saramesh.com (the “Site”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit the Site. It is intended to provide transparent notice under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (“APPI”) and other applicable privacy requirements.

01 Information collected

The Site may collect the following categories of information automatically.

Request and network information

  • IP address, request date and time, requested page, referring URL, and standard request information.
  • Approximate location, network, connection, and security information provided by the Site’s hosting and delivery services.
  • Browser, operating system, device category, language, and related device information made available by the browser or connection.

Device and display information

  • Display dimensions and orientation, device capabilities, language and time-zone settings, accessibility or display preferences, and similar browser-provided information.
  • If the Site requests location access and you grant permission through your browser or device, the Site may collect precise location information derived from GPS or other device location services. The Site does not obtain this precise location information unless the required permission is granted.

Usage and performance information

  • Page views, pseudonymous visitor and session information, time spent, scrolling, and page visibility.
  • Interactions such as link clicks, media use, copying activity, display changes, and application errors.
  • Referral and campaign information and browser performance measurements.

Cookies and identifiers

  • A first-party visitor cookie, used to distinguish repeat visits from the same browser. Its configured lifetime is up to two years.
  • Google Analytics may set first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions.
  • Pseudonymous identifiers may be created to connect related records and reduce duplicate counting.

Some fields are not available on every device or request. Server-side request records may still be created when JavaScript, Google Analytics, or cookies are disabled or blocked.

02 Purposes of use

The operator uses the information described above to:

  • deliver and operate the Site and confirm that requested content was served;
  • measure visits, sessions, referrals, engagement, and feature use;
  • understand device compatibility and improve design, accessibility, reliability, and performance;
  • detect bots, abuse, unauthorized activity, operational failures, and security threats;
  • use software tools, including AI-based tools or agents, to review and analyze traffic, security, performance, and access records;
  • investigate errors and maintain the integrity and evidentiary value of access records; and
  • comply with applicable law, enforce rights, and respond to lawful requests.

Information will not be used beyond a reasonably related purpose without providing any notice or obtaining any consent required by applicable law.

03 Services used

Cloudflare

The Site uses Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, security, and related data processing and storage. Requests pass through Cloudflare’s network and may be processed and recorded by Cloudflare and the Site. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics 4

The Site uses Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics may collect browser and device information, approximate location, session and usage statistics, and cookie-based identifiers when its tag is allowed to run. Google states that raw IP addresses are discarded after they are used for applicable processing such as geolocation and service protection. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data collection.

AI-assisted analysis

The operator may allow AI-based software or an AI agent to read, classify, summarize, correlate, and analyze collected information for the purposes described in this notice, including analytics, security, troubleshooting, and report preparation. Relevant information may therefore be processed by the provider of the AI service used. The information supplied for analysis will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. AI-generated findings may be incomplete or inaccurate and may be reviewed before they are relied upon.

These service providers may process information in Japan or other countries and regions in accordance with their applicable terms, privacy notices, security measures, and data-center arrangements.

04 Sharing and disclosure

The operator does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers that operate, secure, measure, or analyze the Site, including an AI service provider when AI-assisted analysis is used; when required by law or a valid legal process; to protect the Site or another person’s rights and safety; or with the individual’s consent. Service providers are expected to handle information for the relevant service purposes and under their applicable contractual and legal obligations.

05 Retention

The Site’s first-party visitor cookie is configured to expire after no more than two years. Retention periods for other records vary according to the purpose of processing, operational requirements, service settings, and legal obligations. Records may be deleted or anonymized when they are no longer required. Google Analytics retention is governed by the settings of the relevant Analytics property and Google’s applicable rules.

06 Security

The operator uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect collected information. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

07 Your choices and requests

You may disable or delete cookies, block analytics scripts, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These choices may not prevent server-side security and access logging when a request reaches the Site.

Subject to applicable law, you may request information about retained personal data and request correction, deletion, or suspension of use where legally available. Submit a request through the operator’s established communication channel. Information reasonably needed to locate the relevant records and verify the request may be requested. Do not send passwords or unrelated sensitive information.

08 APPI information

Depending on whether information can identify a particular individual by itself or in combination with other information, access-log and cookie information may constitute personal information or personal-related information under the APPI. For authoritative information about the APPI, visit the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan.
